want to do h2d swap in 93 si, need info!!!
hey i have a 93 si hatch with a z6 turbo and dsm injectors with a resistor box already wired into the harness. i want to do the h2d swap so i dont have to change axels, mounts, or the shifter to cable but i have no clue as to wut else i will need. do i need a drivers side mount? the motor is an h22a4 outta 98 base prelude auto. i grabbed the harness and ecu, wasnt sure if i could use it or not but for 245 bucks i just grabbed everything i could, as well i am want to keep the turbo setup. also if anyone has parts they r willing to sell i am def lookin.

When you buy the kit, it comes with the tranny adaptor, you don't need a new mount from what i know. Sounds like you got a hell of a deal on that H22 The ecu is a waste if it is an auto.
Find yourself a 92-95 P013 5 speed h22 ecu and your good to go
If you have p/s or a/c some custom work will be needed

i wanna keep the turbo setup, im just gonna get an h22 exhaust maifold, but ecu wise cant i keep the p28? as far as a/c i already took all that out for the turbo but to keep the p/s how much work is that gonna be or would it be easier to just switch to a man. steering rack? im no rocket scientist but if u put a spacer between the engine and the trans, wont that put the pulley side of the engine a little closer to the frame rail than usual? in which case a normal h22 swap mount wouldnt work, correct? the motor was a steal cuz i work at a salvage yard and a 98 lude got blasted and i get engines for a base price. i was bout to buy another single cam for the same price when the lude showed up. i really need a list of wut i need to make the swap work, and where i should go to get the stuff. also i am lookin for an lsd diff for a d series trans if anyones got one. thanx in advance for any help and as soon as i get a plan together and start i will post pics of the build along the way!

You should put an h2b swap there much more common so the adapter plate is easier to find, also d deries trannys are weak B's are much strong. It will be much faster to

It is extremely rare to break teeth off any transmission because the harden steel. The 92-95 d-series transmissions have alum alloy shift forks that bended with extreme amount of power. The 96-00 d-series transmissions use steel forks which are much stronger. The Ls b-series transmissions have single synchros from 1st - 5th while the gsr and itr are dual synchro from 1st-3rd and single on 4th and 5th. The b16a/a2/a3 transmissions are singe synchro's but share much closer gear ratios to the itr with a 4.40 final drive. This is due to the lack of torque in the b16's but pair with any other engine, equals fast acceleration.

it's true there is only one maker currently for H2D and maybe three for H2B. if you're really worried about gear strength.. factory gears aren't what you need anyway.
to the OP: you're right about the tight clearance with the frame rail. this will make power steering very difficult to install. if you aren't keeping A/C, the alternator could be relocated to the A/C compressor location (there are commercially available brackets for this) and then the P/S pump moved to the original alt. location with a custom mount and pulley... sounds like a lot of work when you can just loop the rack...
a few to get you started..
