Default want to do a clean and simple 96-00

I am wanting too do a clean and simple 96-00 honda civic. I am wanting this car to just be as the title states, I am wondering for the lowering i am thinking about lowering springs, I am interested in the H&R Race lowering springs they seem to give a sestantial drop is this very low to drive with all of the time, I am either gonna use the 14" hx rims or max size of 16" rims.

Thank you:

If you really want it clean, then put it on Koni/GC coilover combo, because Honda shocks don't go well with lowering springs. Any stock wheel, SI, VX/HX, Fat-Fives, GSR Blades, etc;. A stock front and/or rear lip, SI grill, and a paint-match all around. Simple, clean.

Nothing is cleaner than leaving the car bone stock, throwing on a big flashy fiber-glass body-kit and come polished mesh knock off rims. Don't forget to paint it bright red with a pearl clearcoat.

If you want a simple drop to keep a clean look, you can always go with the Eibach sport kit. A nice 1.6" drop, keeps it clean and simple.

In all seriousness there are several factors... all of which most will say over and over.

What's your budget?

Form vs Function: For looks or for performance?

You mentioned the Tein basics... this is probably a decent example of what they will do for the car.

As several have mentioned these are what Ground Control coilover sleeves can do for the car. I purchased a set of Megan Racing coilover sleeves for a good price and now picking up some new shocks soon so I can use them.

Some pics of H&R lowering springs... can vary greatly based on the ammount of drop you plan to have.
From mild 1.25, 1.5 etc

to low 2, 2.5 etc

Your budget and wish for ride height(and in most cases comfort) are the biggest determinants. Obviously for around 500 some new shocks and lowering springs would be the cheapest and simplest route to take and can produce some great results, however jumping into the 600 and 650 range puts more in the range of getting actual coilovers. Don't just jump in and buy something right away, think long and hard about what you're doing it for and what you're willing to spend.

doesn't get any cleaner than clear stock windows, a good drop and some GSR blades or white HXs, SI grill, and OEM accessories like fogs, side markers, and simple stuff. BUT stay OEM.
