As long as you set the pressure back to normal, your gas milage stays about the same. I was down 5-6 mpg before I thought to change the pressure back to normal. Any excess fuel that the higher volume pump gives is just returned back to the tank through the return hose.

I never really noticed a loss in gas mileage, but since I put on my S/C, I noticed I only get about 25 to 28 MPG versus 28 to 31 MPG. But it doesn't help that I do drive a tad bit faster...

thats wierd...
this is from my own personal expirience...
stock=35mpg
stock with pump with no regulator=29mpg
JRSC with pump=32mpg
