Default Vtec Engine Swap

Can somebody tell me if it's possible to put a Vtec engine from a '95 Accord into a 1995 Civic DX?

possible, but i think it will be more difficult than dropping in a 2000 an earlier engine.

and its VTEC

What this guy said. If you can't be helpful, don't be a dick. There's no reason that a bunch of you guys have to mess with him about misspelling it. Simply let him know what is correct and move along. I'm sure there are people on here who know more than you (hell, there are always people who know more than all of us) and could make fun of you for saying something incorrectly. The general additude around here is starting to make me sick.

To the original poster, try a D16Z6. It's the motor out of the 1992-1995 EX and SI. It's a 125hp SOHC VTEC engine and is OBD1 the same as your car which will reduce your wiring significantly. If you have any specific questions try the search button at the top righthand of your screen.

please no.....

Actually the answer is yes. Yes if you have $10,000 to spend to make a 15 second car a 15 second car.

p.s. I think the Hyundai Shark looks like ***.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by Bauleycivic &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote"></TD></TR></TABLE>

LMFAO

edit: o no... did you mean the engine, the phone, or Variable valve Timing and lift Electronic
Control? If its for the first one: $10,000. 2nd, like $5 (im gona do that and post pics). For the third, make that like $20,000 to put a head on a Hyundai, machine it, wire it, o im gona stop before I lose points or something.

2nd edit: <TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by http://www.goingfaster.com/spo/you_m..._ricer_if.html &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
You might be a ricer... If you have ever thought Hyundai and "performance" went hand in hand </TD></TR></TABLE>

O man Bauley...

This combined with the "civic engine swap-300zx" thread, I would have to say that the short bus crashed again...

Yea, reception like got way crappy, even 2' away from the base, battery never lasted more than 5 min, etc.

I'm using that phone to do a write-up on "How to wire v-tech into your civic." Stay tuned! Many pics will be included.

no no no, I'm gona use a v-tech phone w/ base, a DC/AC inverter, and standard telephone line going to phone line in garage. Wire it all up, so I can officially say that I did, in fact, wire V-tech into my car.

p.s. IBTL

If a member asks where the VTECH solenoid is on his or her car, just answer. No need for the VTECH phone pictures, no need for 20 posts calling him a noob and telling him how VTEC is spelled. Honestly, it’s not that important. Answer their question and then get on with your day.</TD></TR></TABLE>
