vtech?
 

i just got a 99 civic ex and it is sohc and i cant tell if it is vtech or not so if anyone can tell me how to find this out that would be great.

Hondas dont have vtech, they have vtec. and if its an ex it does, its in big bold letter on the valve cover.

whats the enigne code on the block? D****

if its an ex then yes you have vtec

look for the vtec solenoid off to the left side of the head
looks like a large thimble

since you said its an EX then it has vtec.

vtech is some kind of a children's educational toy, isn't it?

if its an EX than yes you do hav VTEC not VTECH. if u havent already found that out by now

yeah man i got vtech too... i use it to call people, but seriously didnt the dealer tell u whether or not its vtec or not ?

stock 99 EX? yes, it does have VTEC.

My jdm d15b says vtech on it.... the H is JDM y0! J/P but it does say Vtec on the valve cover.

Yea, not all 96-00 ex's say vtec. IF it dosnt ...look for the vtec solenoid
