vtec wiring problems, bad ecu?
First of, I did search, and from what I could find, I’m pretty sure I did everything the way it’s supposed to be done.
Non the less, my Vtec is not engaging.
I have a Y7/8 mini-me with auto trans.
Also, when running P2P ecu, transmission shifts very rough from 1st to 2nd, but when running P2E, it’s nice and smooth.
Below is the diagram I used to wire in the vtec solenoid / oil pressure switch.

Re: vtec wiring problems, bad ecu? (d16rice)
Another thing that’s concerning me is that there is a little smoke coming out of my exhaust.
At first, after doing the mini-me conversion, I had blue smoke coming out after first starting the car, which probably means that valve seals are leaking. I had those professionally replaced before I put the head on, but I guess the shop did a shady job.
I no longer have the blue smoke coming out, but I do have a faint blackish/grayish smoke with a little bit of blue tint.
Some of the things that might be causing it are that I don’t have a cat (but surprisingly still pass emissions), and I’m running rich. I think my fuel psi regulator is set at 55psi or so.
I'll check the compression tomorrow morning, but is there anything else I con look for?
