Vtec Wiring images
Hey, I'm looking for anyone with wiring pictures for a 95 civic, I'm swapping in a d16z6 and I've read that the wiring may or may not be there, some say it's connected all the way up to near the passenger side strut mount, but wiring has to be added to complete the hookup, others say I have to run it all the way to the ecu....looking for photos so I can see where it should be and how it should be wired.
Thanks in advance!

this is an assumption, please remember that
because you have an lx, you should not have the p28 ecu or any other ready for vtec. due to this, i don't believe the wiring should be there, or if it is it will not be connected to a proper ecu. i know that the ex/si had the p28 along w/ d16z6, that is where i base this assumption.

Re: (TekSI)
that's kind of what I was thinking, obviously I'm getting a p28, and since it's not already there....why would it be wired? Where exactly 'near the passenger side strut bar' should I see these wires? How many are there?

i'm at school right now, so i can't help you out. if nobody gets back to you, i'll follow the wiring, maybe take a pic or two, of where the wire for vtec solenoid goes

The wiring isn't there. If you search you'll find images of where the wire locations are on the ECU. You'll need to get some ecu pins from a junk yard.

Re: Vtec Wiring images (Nameless RB26)
its only 2 wires that have to be ran its the vtec and the oil pressure im pretty sure there is no knock sensor wire. becuz my sohc zc vtec ran fine with vtec working with only 2 wires and they were ran from the engine harness to the ecu. if u do the swap try to get the d16z6 engine harness u will be able to see the 2 spots were the wires do not connect on the connector to the other side of the connector. on the car harness u will see to filled in spaces and that is were the wires will have to come from.
