!!!!!!!!VTEC swap into a 96 CIVIC???????
i just got a auto 96 civic and i want to change it to manual vtec. i have all the stuff for the motor swap and was lookin for a manual trans swap set up....im new to honda so pls help me out.

if its a sohc motor all u will need is a 92-95 civic EX or Si tranny (d16z6), or if u want a newer tranny u can use a d16y8 96-2000 sohc tranny.

your gonna need more than just the tranny, but i would go with the y8 it has steel shift forks.
but your gonna need the pedal assembly, clutch master cylinder, a new center counsel, a new ecu, and prolly more that im missing

civiccpedx is right.. its more then just the tranny.. but the neat thing is.. everything is swapable.. for example.. you can get integra or civic pedals and the firewall already has the wholes for them.. the only thing you're gonna be doing any cutting and welding (adhesive) is were the shifter goes.. and its not hard at all.. all in all.. if youre into car stuff and you can do stuff like changing out a clutch and what not, its a 7/10... 10 being hard as building your own motor and 1 being simple as pumping up the tires...
