Vtec solenoid - how do I tell if it isn't working properly?
Anyone know a sales website that I can buy a remanufactured vtec solenoid for a d16y8? Also how do I tell for certain if it is or isn't working properly?

Vtec solenoid
No CEL. I feel it kick in so I know it works. I was really asking because this is my first VTech car and I'm wondering how I know if its operating efficiently and properly. I have seen brand new ones for sale and used ones for sale but I have never seen one remanufactured and I'm not even sure if it's something that can be rebuilt. But I would like to know some of the clues as to whether - functioning properly and what to look for when it starts to go out. I'm trying to learn about this VTEC four-cylinder that I own. Lol

Was just gonna say it works like an on/off switch. If it's not working you'll know and you should also get a CEL for it.
