vtec pressure switch code 22 bad ground?
ok i hav a 97 civic dx w/a b16a2 swap and iam running a 97 0bd2 p72.
i am throwin a cel code 22.
ive changed my oil three times in three months of having the swap. i tried three different pressure switches,i cleaned out the vtec solenoid, and ive tried three different ecu's a p28, a chipped p28, and my p72. and w/the p72 i am cutting off at 6700 no vtec and with the p28 i am redlining at 8000 no vtec.
so today i am trying to explain my problem to anybody that knows anything about hondas. and i might have stumbled across the solution to my prob. maybe just maybe it could be the ground wire!!!
i look at the wire that connects to the pressure switch (blue/black) and there both securely connected but with further inspection of the wire i notice the black wire is cut in half. in other words the end coming from the ecu is not touching the end connected to the pressure switch.
so..honda-techers wat do i do, just connect the two ends. or connect the two ends and connect another piece to that and ground it to the battery. and will this finally solve my problem.
