Default Vtec plug for 96 EX harness

I just got my 96 EX harness for my 1st gen b16 going into a 98 DX. I have a few questions. The vtec plug on the harness is green/yellow and same as the plug wire on the vtec soleniod. But they are different plugs. Do I cut the plugs and solder the wires together or what?... Also there are a few plugs(about 3-4) that arent plugged in because I cant find anything for em. Does this usually happen?

Yes, you can cut off the connectors and solder the wires together - however, this leaves you with no way to disconnect it aside from cutting and soldering again.

Yes there are going to be plugs left over - you have an OBD2 harness and an OBD1 engine. One plug is going to be for the CKF sensor as OBD1 knows nothing about it.

You should buy/download a Helms for your car and donor engine/ECU.

obd0 and obd2 vtec solenoid plugs are different, so you'll need to solder on a new connector. i wouldn't solder the 2 together as you might need to dissconect it later. obd2 cars have a few more sensors (crank fluctuation etc) that obd0 motors don't have.
