Default vtec lag

i just got a jdm gsr and vtec felt perfect for awhile but it seems like im waiting forever for it to hit 8 grand now but i still here vtec kick in i just dont feel the pull as much? maybe im getting use to it but if anyone else has had this problem help me out, thanks

My Type R did the same thing, it was a bad fuel line right after the fuel pump in the gas tank. Check your fuel pressure and make sure you're not running lean.

it ended up being a bad washer on fuel rail somehow it got cracked but the feul pressure idea pointed me in the right direction. thanks for the help!!
