Default vtec kicking weak??

Ok finnaly got my vtec working after buying a 95 dx with a b16 and finding out it had 6 cel's!! But anyways.. Vtec works now but seems to kick really weak compared to what im used to? Ive had acouple b series and all of them seemed to kick harder then this one?? Is there a reason it would be weaker??

This may be a ricer question but im just curious! Thanks!

Start off by correcting all of your CELs. Check oil level...

"...had 6 cels."

so you dont have any right now?

A Good vtec engaugement will not be loud and ahve any kind of Kick, maybe your vtec motor is better then all of the others that made a loud vtec.

Depending on what ecu you're running the engagement will be differen't Gsr ecu's will be a little smoother where a b16 ecu will have a bit more "kick" to it.

motor efectively runs in "limp"(closed loop) mode with any CEL's on, also try cleaning out the screen on the sloenoid gasket

VTEC is either engaged or not engaged.

It can't kick in weak.

It can't kick in "half way."

On or Off.
