Ok guys i have a 92 civic with d15z1 in it at exactly 4800 rpms my car fills like it hits a brick wall. It stays there for like 3 secs then goes into vtec when it does go into vtec it smells like gas really bad. Also when i am in netrual i can only rev the car to 4800 rpms it wont go past that. any help is greatly apprecated thanks guys for looking. oh yeah i tried switching the housing of my distributar with my old igniter and coil.

i would try a different ecu

the ecu isnt a cure-all.

check your coil and igniter.

i know its not a cure all but it could be a bad ecu

VTEC controller installed? Cause they'll ***** eveything up. VTEC controllers FTL. Unless its Hondata.
