Default vtec head
How can you tell if the head on a sohc is vtec or not? same with the block what codes is the vtec block? for d16s.

If it has a VTEC noid it is VTEC

if the plug wires are in the front of the valve cover it is VTEC

Non-VTEC

d16y7 (civic dx and lx) has wires in front and its nonvtec
