Default vtec engaugement

whats up everyone...i have a 94 civic ex that is suppose to be vtec...but the thing is i feel the vtec not kicking in...when the car is driven to high rpms the car wont die out cuz i know most cars will...how do i k know if the vtec is working...is there a way to test it...i dont feel any kick at all...let me know

its only a d16 dude.... you arent going to "feel" vtec kicking in... my accord f22 sohc vtec i cant feel it kicking in either...

i have 93 d16 w/ vtec and i couldnt feel it at all so i thought it wasnt engaging so i wired up a volt meter n it was gettin volts. then a couple of weeks later i bout a cai adn i can hear it and feel it a little. u wont feel it kick in on a stock d series.

yea that could be my problem..the fact that i am stock...i have the vtec light on my instrument cluster but i havent connected it
