VTEC-E...what is it???
ok, i have noticed that on the 1992-1995 civic vx hatchbacks that they have something called vtec-e. i have searched to try and find out what exactly that is, how it works, and what it does but i have came up with nothing. i know the vx is not built for performance and it was built for gas mileage and economy. just wondering if it is something to help gas mileage or exactly what it is. thanks in advance.

Simply means VTEC-Economy. Like you said just different cam lobes from the regular VTEC made more for economy. That's about it.

ok that makes since. but is it something that actually kicks in like regular vtec? i mean if you get to a certain rpm does the actual cam lifts/duration change like vtec?

same question has Japrex ("is it something that actually kicks in like regular vtec? i mean if you get to a certain rpm does the actual cam lifts/duration change like vtec?")
(if yes,) can i replace my current cams and **** (DOCH VTEC Si ed.) to get the same "economic" efficiency? or do i need to replace the whole engine set?
