Hi guys,

quick but important question....

I have A B16A1 engine. Normally the speedo runs with a cable to the dash and from the dash a wire runs to the comp for the use of VTEC.
I build the engine in the back of a classic mini but I cant run the speedo cable to the dash due to length.
What I did is I took the VSS from an A2 engine. That one is electric. I ran that wire to the computer.

Will this work??

Oke. Back at it.

Still got a code 17... So.... The VSS still doesn't work.
I bought a new VSS sensor and still nothing.
I read some were that the wires on the VSS connector can be different. I connected it as 12V, signal, ground. But It could be signal, 12V, ground. Is this something I can 'just' try out?
So I'm confused.

Any leads on where to go next? Just try to swap the wires?

Yes, you can move the pins around.

Oke, that was it. I still can't figure out why I did what I did. probably because I went from mechanical to electrical speedsesor.
So the right way is signal, 12v, ground


Anyway. I have VTEC YOOOOOOO. Hahahaha.
