On the solenoid there are 3 wires for vtec

1. green/yellow wire - gray looking plug

2. one a solid faded green color, almost white looking it's so faded.

3. a black one next to the faded green one.

Thats it.

Me and a friend been trying to hook up vtec in his car, but were still confused as to which is which exactly.

From what i read the green/yellow "with the gray plug" is the actual vtec solenoid that goes to A4 on the ecu plug, and the black he has run to D6 on the other ecu plug.

I think thats correct or would the faded green wire next to the black one on the solenoid be the actual D6 to the ecu and the black wire the actual ground?.

We tryed swapping a couple last time we messed with it, but still couldn't hear or feel anything, d16z6 motor btw.
