VSS wiring??

Default VSS wiring??
I have a 94 civic with a 94 b18b1 that was an auto, i also swapped in a 97 GSR tranny. My problem is that my speedometer and odometer or trip do not work. I notice there are only 2 wires going into the VSS plug but the are 3 connections on the VSS inself. is there some spliceing i have to do to make this work? i heard about splicing in the blue/yellow wire from the ECU but what do i splice it into?, I have seacrhed a lot but cant find this problem,
