Default vss question

if the speedo is dead do i need to replace the whole vss assembly or just the top part?

check to see if its still plugged in, mine had a bad connection. other wise ull have to pull it out and possibly replace it, or it could be the cluster itself.

Ya, first check too see if the VSS plug or the plug behind the cluster is good. then take a friend's or someone that has a working cluster and try his on your car. If those two fail then replace the whole VSS.
