Default VSS Question

For the 92+ civics, was the same vehicle speed sensor used in the 94 OBD1 GSR Integra's? Did honda just re-use the same electronic VSS for all models? Asking because I am doing a GSR cluster swap in a CRX. I already have the GSR electronic VSS, but need the plug. Will any electronic VSS plug work (i think they are 3 wire plugs) OR do I need a specific kind of plug from a specific VSS) See here:

This is an electronic VSS that the OP said he got from a "92+ Civc" He did a GSR cluster swap in a CRX, but was using the stock CRX tranny. I am using a Y80 GSR tranny. (http://hondacrx881.tripod.com/gsrclusterswap.html)

B and D-series electronic VSS's are interchangeable and use the same plugs. B-series use a metal gear, while the 92-95 Civic D-series use a plastic gear.

Great, it's good to know their interchangable. ! I just need the plug, so it looks like I'm off to the junkyard!

If you can't find one, I have a plug when I bought a VSS.

just to make sure, I can use a d-series VSS plug for a b-series tranny right? Just a little confused now, since you said d-series use plastic gear's while b-series use metal gears.
