I figured out why my Vtec wasn't working on my d15b swap. the vss is not working properly. One of my local junkyards has an automatic civic with the VSS still on it. would this work on my manual tranny?

Yes, There shouldn't be a difference between them. I've installed VSS's on Accords before, manual and automatic, and they didn't seem to have a difference, Well anyways, Good luck.

hmm well I went to the junkyard and looked at the automatic one....and it looked to be different.

I did't pull it because I wasn't to sure...it was using a 12mm bolt instead of a 10mm like mine.

can anyone verify for sure if I could use this?

Yeah i thought it might have a slight difference, Don't use it...if you wanna spend the cash they are like 90$ at your local auto parts store brand new

well i found out it is the same...except for the gear...I just replaced the top clip part. and it still does not work...it is really driving me nuts! maybe wiring?
