Voltage to IACV
In my feeble attempt to get the idle to stop surging (92 VX EG) I am checking voltages going to sensors. I get 5 volts to MAP sensor, 5 volts to TPS, but when I check voltage to IACV the voltage measures at 11.2 volts. I checked it multiple times to double check myself, and it reads the same. My manual says it should be 5 volts.
Any ideas why this is, and could this be a cause of surging idle in a 92 VX?

Re: Voltage to IACV
The IACV should get battery voltage just as you are finding. The MAP and TPS get 5 reference volts from the ECU, whereas the IACV gets voltage from the battery via the main relay.
