Visually see a bad gasket?
Hi everyone.
Changed out my headgasket and it 'looked' fine.
Visually on metal head gaskets can you see if there are damages, cracks scores ect...?
I am asking this because I thought my problem was the gasket, but I am now exploring further.
I was getting a lot of smoke outa the tail pipe, oil mixing with coolant, and milky oil.
I just have a regular OEM 3-layer.
Thanks.

did you get your head tested for cracks or warpage? you shoulda done that before you put the thing back together....if excessive heat was the cause of your head gasket blowin out....the temperature could have cause damage to the aluminum parts not noticeable by the naked eye.
