Default video of my exhaust, no resonator

I always see people asking how loud certain exhuasts (magnaflow, es oval) are, and if they should get a resonator. Well, here's a shot of my exhaust I took a month ago. 2.25" mandrel bent stainless tubing, 2.25" straight through magnaflow muffler, stock integra cat, no resonator, b-series motor. The highest I revved the car here was 5.5k. The only reason I have not added a resonator is because I am going over some other, lighter exhaust options.

The video is an .avi, so you might need a codec. Right click save as please.

its actually not farty at all, it's just loud and raspy, and it buzzes at high rpm. The mic on my camera is sensitive, so it made it sound farty. I'll see if I can get a "fly by" video later today. I know it sounds bad though, but like I said in my first post, I'm looking into some other options, so I don't know if I will add a resonator yet or not.

just fork out the cash and get a real cat-back exhaust. MagnaFlows were initially designed for low revving v8's ,.. that's why they get a low tone on low rpm and a vibrating flapping noise on high rpm on fourbangers.

no doubt MF's sound great on my cousin's 02 Saleen Mustang

that video was cool. first its focused on the car, then at the end its focused on the water. it doesn't sound that bad to me, a resonator would smooth it out for sure though. lets see the more vids!

Ummm, you realize they completly changed the design of the import mufflers from the V8 ones right? Just because they are made by the same company doesn't mean they are the same thing. Their import exhausts were made for imports, they aren't just re-fitted muscle car exhausts.

And yeah, that car needs a resonator badly. Here is what that car should sound like. 2.25 Mandrel bent Magnaflow cat back which includes the Magnaflow Resonator on my B series revved to about 5k.

I'm running custom 2 1/4 inch piping, no resonator and a oval muffler, and it sounds nothing like that. It's just a nice deep tone until 6 grand...then it buzzes slightly, but sounds really good
