The Civic wins...at autocross, drags, gas mileage, maintenance, not to mention the 50 less in insurance per month.
And Im a fan of the 5.0's
BTW if civic guys drives a thousand miles a month and pays 2.00 a gallon for gas his monthly gas bill is app. $71.00
Mustang will be around $153.00 a month.
Include the extra insurance and youre at around 203.00 more per month on the Slower weaker Mustang.

b18c5 powered civic (takes premium gasoline): 25 miles per gallon
5.0 GT (takes regular gasoline): 17 miles per gallon
where i live, regular is 2 dollars per gallon. premium is 2.30
the b18c5 civic driver pays 92 dollars a month for gas, assuming he drives 1000 miles a month.
the 5.0 mustang driver pays 116 dollars a month for gas, assuming he drives 1000 miles a month.
difference is 24 dollars. holy **** batman

If you are gonna say put the same amount of money in the mustand then its cool. Lets be fair then ok?????? Why dont we add 4 extra cylinders to the civic? Trying to say well you spent more money on the civic. Well hmmmmm it only has less then half the motor. So again give the civic 4 more cylinders and then we will play stock vs stock. Think that dumpy *** rustang would still stand a chance? Or put it against the 4 cylinder mustang. That would be fair. Which one would win then with the exact same amount of mods.

If the guy wanted a 5.0 he woulda bought a 5.0
i'm tired of people saying this crap about buying an old 5.0 if they want a fast drag car. Everyone knows that an old stang is better for drag racign than a civic. Some people don't want an old mustang, they want to mod their civic. It's like saying why did u get a 2000 cx, when you coulda gotten a 5th gen hatch that was cheaper and lighter. Obviously you like your 2000 cx better for one reason or another even though the 5th gen will perform better with less weight and will save you money due to its lower cost. Lay off the guy.........
