I have a 97' Civic Ex Coupe, I have been having the problem for a while.. I have had replaced all four tires with brand new ones about 6 months ago and have changed the brake pads once when I first got the car almost 2 years ago. Right right I'm curious if it is the brake rotors or the cv axles.

From what I have read is that usually if there is vibration with a CV axle it usually occurs while accelerating and turning... which I do not notice happen, nor do I hear any "clicking" noise that I usually hear about.

Just want some thoughts on it before I purchase new front brake rotors and pads.. and then eventually rear brakes?

I am not very car tech savvy.. yet =p

Vibration while braking generally means rotors/drums, assuming it's even and rhythmic.

Go to an open parking lot and do two full circles with the steering wheel locked to the limits both left and right.
Any clunking and you have an axel problem. Be sure to note which side clunks.
Brake rotors sound like the likely suspect so hit up vatozone and pick up a front set first.
Check the pads before you go to the store.
Some of those lifetime warranty pads squeel and start disintegrating.
For a street car I only use OEM.. well for family they get OEM. Me... i use something more along the track side in a pad.
