do you need the rubber ring around the axle?
My cv joint clicking so i replaced both axles with brand new ones, they did not have the rubber rings around the axles. on the test drive there was no clicking at all but now it vibrates pretty bad under acceleration. could i have gotten bad axles?is it because there is not the rubber peice that goes around the middle of it?

no. i install rebuilt axles without those rubber deals all the time and never have problems. double check all of your work, make sure bolts are all tight, make sure the shafts are all the way in the trans. where did you get the axles?

axles could be bent. I got a bent refubished axle from NAPA once. Check to make sure the axle is installed properly if not try swaping it out with a new one.
