also, will i be fine running stock piping with this muffler? or........

i just put a tanabe racing spec catback on my 96 civic coupe well worth the money and the wait to get it

what are you gaining by running this muffler with stock piping? nothing except a louder car. in terms of performance you wouldnt gain a thing

depends on what your goal of that car is. if you plan to leave it stock then, yeah true not much. but if you plan to build the motor or turbo it, you can see some improvement over stock piping

a local shop told me $60-80 to weld it on the stock piping and 120$ for custom piping with the welding included.

what size piping do i need and what should the piping be made of? i live in MA and i need something that wont rust

okay why r u modifing your exhaust? sounds to me like you don't need to. its just gonna be louder and youre gonna look like a silly ricer. i dunno

if you just want the muffler. get that

if you want new exhaust piping on your car, get the piping

note: new piping will not give you any performace at all on a stock motor.

buy 2.25" piping if the motor is stock

It's hard to tell but generally custom piping will be louder and sound a little better than just a muffler.

When you get custom piping, you'll usually step up to a larger diameter, with hopefully smoother bends. Even cheap crush bent piping can improve preformance. You're not going to gain 20whp, but you will usually see a few. With your motor, if it's manual, I would personally use a 2.25inch exhaust set up, if you're going to keep it mild.

I say go for 2.25" piping with a resonator to keep it quiet and non-ricey. Do the typical I/H/P/E mods and be done with it.
