hey, i gotta 95 coupe civic ex. apparently when i bought it, the guy b4 left the gas cap off for a while, and water had gotten in the gas tank, causing alotta rust. It eventually got so bad, i started getting a very rough idle, and when i pressed the accelerator all the way to the floor, i get a very slow erratic, yet, eventually increasing acceleration, but nothing compared to the acceleration that should occur. However, if i press down on the accelerator about a 1/2 inch or so, it will accelerate and a quick rate. But anything more than a half inch, and it starts messing up again. ive bought and installed a new fuel filter and gas tank. and swapped the old fuel filter with a one that i got from the junk yard(i replaced the strainer with a new one). All the meantime ive used a variety of "fuel injector, system etc cleaners". Despite the aforementioned, i still have the same problem. Anyone have any suggestions? Cuz this is VERY frustrating.
