The verdict....
Just did a compression test on my car today.
95 B18B1 Roughly 90k miles
150 across the board.
Cranked it 4 times...
Strong motor as it seems....so turbo is the route i will be goin. Thanks for the demanding direction you guys gave me before with my previous question about going turbo or just swaping.
My next question is..I have been looking for a used kit with all the parts on the marketplace an locally. I have found a few that catch my eye but just scared about spending 1k to 1.5k on a used kit..and still need to get fuel management and a good tune. So i decided to look on ebay..lol..flame on..and found plenty "full kits" for 800 bucks ..new! .This just doesnt make since or its just knock off stuff or is goin to just blow up in a week lol..some input on getting a turbo setup through ebay and stuff..would be great..thanks again guys..aloha
btw..AJ squared is the turbo kit i was looking at..heres the link

Re: The verdict....
honestly, that doesn't sound very strong at all... a b18b1 should be around 180, then again, you only cranked it 4 times. i'd try doing the test again. let the motor warm up to operating temp then do it. crank it for about 7-8 times though. also, make sure to remove the fuel injector fuse and have the engine at WOT (just a reminder.)
as far as the turbo stuff goes, i'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" so i wouldn't get an ebay kit ever. the only things i would get off ebay would be pipes and the intercooler. maybe (and that's a BIG maybe) a manifold, but i'd never trust my boost to one of those turbo's.
Fast, Cheap, Reliable. You can only pick 2. <----

I'm with these guys, the numbers matching across the board is a good sign, but the low number isn't. Double check the compression before going on to boost it.

Yea. Cranked it 4 times with sensor out and 100 percent throttle. My friend said only 4 times cranked will be fine. If all come close or around 150psi should be good. As for the ebay kit. It just seems ok lol but that's why I ask. Lol. Thanks again guys. Aloha
