Vents won't stop blowing hot air (96 civic). Need advices
For some reasons, my vents won't stop blowing hot air once the car reaches operating temperature. Even if I adjust the temperature all the way to cold.
So whenever I drive on the freeway, the vents won't stop blowing hot air and it gets really hot inside the car. I tried moving the temperature all the way to hot and the air becomes even hotter. Moving the temperature back to cold only makes the air a bit "warmer" but it's still hot air
I already made sure the wire thing attached to the back of the climate control is connected correctly.
Is it because my car has no A/C? I thought it would at least blow cool air from the outside even with no A/C.
I drive a 96 civic btw.

Does it blow in a clockwise direction or a counter clockwise direction because if you are unable to tell in might be a dalerod gone bad in the engine to cabin distributor which could in turn cause the major increase of hot air you are noticing.

So are you having air blowing in without the fan being on and with the recirc button engaged if so I would say your climate control is not working properly and since you have already checked to make sure the wire is still hooked up on the bottom, have you tried pushing it down there to see if it opens and closes properly with your hand and then compared to using the temp control.
You might need to replace climate control

There's a valve on one of the heater hoses on the firewall. It controls coolant flow through the heater core. Manually close the valve and then check the heater cable.

The way I read this was that the OP is expecting that went he wants to have air blow out of the vents and he sets the unit to a "cold" setting, with no A/C in the car, he is expecting the air to somehow still blow cool. Mainly because he says this

So the air will always be hot no matter what if I have no A/C? I don't know if that's true which is why I started this tread.

Ask yourself, where is the air vented from, exactly? When it gets cold outside then it'll blow cold air. The air, with no A/C, will be slightly warmer than the ambient temperature of the air outside.
