Re: venom 400
my car is a 97 civic ex obd2 with auto tranny. it'll be too expensive to make it manual with an obd1 tuned. so seems venom 400 is the best cost effective way to improve it's performance a bit.
anybody knows if there is any difference between the modules (PN V21-132) for civics 92-95 and modules for civics 96-00?
thx.

Re: venom 400
over here, the whole manual tranny setup, pedals, etc etc, in a junkyard will cost about $1000. plus mechanical work.
i'll give venom400 a try for about $200. if it's too junkie i'll sell over here for same price i've paid.
and search for a vti, with a original b16.

Re: venom 400
Its garbage. Save the $200 toward a swap or starting with a better platform.
If you really feel that you must do something to go faster with the auto trans, run nitrous. Sure it'll be hell on the transmission, but thats the cheapest way to go fast given your options.

Re: venom 400
well, that's an option too. a 50hp shot would be nice :]
but i think it'll need extra injectors and an extra ecu to control them, no? since the original ecu can't make the ajustments needed.
well, i'll search more in the net and ask for my mechanic about venom400. seems that it only send a false signal to the ecu about the throtle position.
i also thought in a turbo kit with only .5 bar. since i live in a town at 3000ft, maybe the ecu can self adapt and provide the extra fuel and adjust the timings.
if shipment from us wasn't so expensive ...
installed:
cai with big washble filter
already bought and waiting to arrive:
ngk iridium spark plugs
10mm spark cables
46000V external ignition coil and distributor
still caching to buy:
crowe stage 2 camshaft
stainless steel 2.5" tubes header
since the rpm won't pass from 7200 i think titanium springs isn't yet needed.
