VALVE SPRING ????

I am going to be putting a zex 59300 cam in a 94 z6 head. what i need to know is do i have to replace springs and retainers or can i jus replace the springs. i talked to a person at zex and they said that the stock retainers will work just fine. i just wanted some honda-tech advice. thanks in advance. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif

i have the 59300 in a y7-z6 mini-me, i used the zex springs and stock retainer and have had no problems at all. been in place for about a year.

i think there was a post not to long ago about this...

a while back the zex site requested you upgrading your valvetrain, but now the site says stock valetrain is permitable for the cam
