Default valve question

ok im gettin all the pricing and everyting together on building my b20... would i really need titanium valves for high boost (28-30 psi) or would stainless steel be fine.. cuz the price difference is alot (about $1200 difference) its not like the engine is going to be reved to 9000 rpm or anything like that

I believe the Titanium valves would be a total waste of money... Look at all the Pro racers that are pushing 30lbs. of boost and hardly none of them use titanium, mostly use stainless.

Titanium valves are nice because it can withstand a whole lot more heat than ordinary metals plus its very very light.
But it also costs a whole lot.
Its very expensive compared to stainless steel valves and you wont really be able to maximize it since most aggressive cams only make power around 9000 rpms which stainless valves and stiff valve springs can handle.

Only benefit if you do use titanium valves in a motor is less valve spring preasure is needed to close it and therefore less wear and friction on the cams and rocker arm.... but for 1,200 bucks more...hmmm.

I think Nitrided valves might work well too. Not completely sure though. I know jdmhondaparts sells them.

its not going to have really agressive cams in it... im gettin the crower stage 2 turbo cams.... so i will be fine running 30 maybe 30+ lbs on stainless steel valves?? as long as im not doing really high revs
