Default valve lash adjustment

i was wondering if i would regain any lost power from checking my valve lash. and also what exactly happens when you advance the ignition timing. i hear you get some power but its bad for your motor.

Default Re: valve lash adjustment

You may regain power if your lash was off by a bit because that would decrease lift and duration. I don't know much about advancing timing, but i do know that if you advance it you should run higher octane fuel.
