Valve cover question.
Should the valve cover area be completely sealed? its on a d-series. Or will having 2 open ports in the front lower the oil pressure and cause a vac leak? Im looking to vent more crank pressure.

Re: (95hatchcivic)
oh the drill has been started, however im scuurred about oil pressure loss, and other stuff being sucked into the VC, since there is no factory baffle.

I'm not picturing how this would make it more reliable. Or maybe I'm just not understanding what you're saying.
To me, it sounds like you want to drill a whole in the head somewhere.

what are you talking about? adding ventilation to the head will create a vacuum leak? 3 words - OIL CATCH CAN

Oil catch cans go in the factory PCV location...the OP is talking about adding more holes to the VC to get better ventilation, not simply adding a breather or catch can.

lots of people do this
Having holes in the valve cover will not create a vacuum leak anymore than removing your oil cap while the car is running (try it...nothing happens).
....or breather vent @ the intake.
Wont lower oil pressure either.
