Valve cover painting question
Just wondering for all those that painted their valve covers, once you take it off do you have to clean off all the oil on the underside??
Reason I ask is because my friend gave me a valve cover but it has been sitting around for a while outside and I think the oil might of got "dirty". Would I need to clean all this off before I put it back on my car?
If so what did people use to clean it? the oil on mine is so thick it doesnt seem to want to come out at all

Just use soap and a sponge. Yes you should clean the dirt off your valve cover before putting it back on.
