Default EM1 won't rev past 3500

basically my car has a gsr bottom and b16 head, bottom end is built for boost (cp 9:1, eagle rods, etc) well my turbo shitted out on me so I decided to throw a stock header, stock injectors, and a stock ecu on it so I could have something to drive. It drove fine for that day and the next day. I had it idling in the driveway and it all of a sudden died. Wouldn't crank back up. Put a working igniter in it, nothing. So I swapped the coils, and it started up. Okay but now it will NOT rev past 3500, it just hits limiter, aka limp mode. The CEL is on, but it will not flash when jumped. No clue why, it just will not.

short: CEL is on wont flash, cars in limp mode, what to do.

usually has something to do with the distributor or crank positioning sensor

The coil and igniter I just swapped in are from a dizzy that was removed about a week ago working. The car ran fine literally 3 days ago..

Well I had a stock obd2b si ecu running it the other day when it ran fine, but i tried a obd1 chipped ecu with a b16 basemap on it and it cleared it up just fine.
