Valve Cover Gasket Help!
I have a jdm d15b vtec and it leaks oil through the valve cover and onto the headers. does anyone know what other engine has the same size valve cover and same gasket? i tried a 92 civic dx gasket but it's bigger than the d15b one.
Thanks,
Andrew

Well, according to the manual, you should use a squirt of Hondabond/liquid gasket in the corners around the cams. This applies to installing a new gasket, or reinstalling an old gasket. If it's an old gasket, you should remove the old liquid gasket and reapply in the same places. I've used black RTV on my cars for years with no problems.
But no, you shouldn't be making an entire gasket out of RTV. Crap like that's for domestics lol.

Re: Valve Cover Gasket Help!
Valve cover gaskets from the USDM D16Z6 engines found in 92-95 civic ex and si will fit.
The timing belt from the D16Z6 is also the same for jdm D15B and the water pump for the z6 is a bit different but it will fit after it makes itself a little notch in your lower timing belt cover.
Recently replaced my timing belt and water pump, after counting the teeth on the z6 timing belt and having to return a water pump from a non vtec sohc I found out those parts fit the D15B as well.
