VALVE CLEARANCE
DOES ANY ONE KNOW THE VALVE CLEARANCES FOR B16 A2 I HAVE HAD THEM SET BY 2 DIFFERENT PEOPLE ONE ADJUSTED THEM TOO MUCH AND CAR WOULDNT IDLE SO GOT HIM TO DO THEM AGAIN AND THEY WERE TOO SLACK SO I TOOK IT TO SOMEONE ELSE AND THEY R STILL SLACK AND ALSO IS THERE A TOOL FOR DOING THEM IF SO WERE CAN I GET ONE

1. STOP YELLING... it's irritating and difficult to read.
2. Factory spec for a b16a is
Intake: 0.006"-0.007"
Exhaust: 0.007"-0.008"
3. If the guy adjusted the valves to the point that the car wouldn't idle he has no clue wtf he's doing... go elsewhere or prep for a valvejob
4. I'm assuming that when you say they're still slack that means you're hearing a tick. I've done several valve adjustments on b16's where the valves were just noisy at idle... perfectly on spec though, triple goddamn checked. Also, I've never heard a honda (other than the brand new ones) that didn't have a little valve noise or tick.

tools: angled feeler gauges, 10mm Tappet adjuster or ghetto fab your own

And if they're doing the adjustment on a warm or hot engine give them a boot to the ******* skull...

you can use a 10mm wrench and a flat head screwdriver....but "the tool " is on a mac,snap-on, or mattco truck..$32.
