Default valve adjustment problem

Went to adjust my valves today, cyl1 and cyl2 went fine, but on cyl3, the exhaust side is way too tight, even with the adjustment screw loosened all the way, not even the .005 will fit Any ideas? Already tried searching, didn't find anything relevent...

So wait. You placed the cam gears at TDC and did cyl.1 Then you turned the cam gears 90 degress counterclockwise and then did cyl 2???

Im thinking thats what he did. Hes probably got the gears at BDC and thats why he cant fit the feeler in cyl.3 on the exhaust side. At BDC you should be at cyl. 4.

make sure to read carefully how to do a valve adjustment. like other said, cyl 1 at TDC on cam gear(or other method of finding TDC), rotate cam gears 90° CC, or crankshaft 180° CC(i believe), do cyl 3, then repeat rotation, cyl 4, repeat, cyl 2. use your distributor rotor as reference as well, it is supposed to contact the wire for that cyl which you adjust
