Value of lightly modded '99 EBP Civic SI Coupe
I'm looking to sell my '99 Civic SI Coupe, and have been using Edmunds.com as a guage for asking price. It is telling me the private party sale value is $12,086 for my area (NYC/Long Island), and that's for "clean condition," 40k miles, located in NYC/Long Island area, and if the car was stock. I also have the following added to the car:
- Recaro SRD Seats (2)- Black with Double Red Stitching
- JDM MOMO Type-R Steering Wheel with Airbag
- JDM Type-R Shift boot
- Razo GT Advance 340g Long Shift ****
- Clifford Intelliguard 7000 Security System w/Blackjack
- OEM Rear Wing
- OEM Fog Lights (just noticed this is currently not working, but probably due to a loose wire or blown fuse, since the switch does not light up)
- 35% Tints in rear and rear side windows (professionally installed)
Pics-
Except for the wing and the tints, all have been installed within the past year, and I am the second owner. The car was stock when I bought it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

id say your best bet is to take out the seats/wheel/boot and put the stock ones back in. then sell the car for 13k obo and sell the other stuff on here.

Re: Value of lightly modded '99 EBP Civic SI Coupe (GERM)
Thanks, I've listed it "as is" for $13.5k, but only a few of dead leads so far. People have been coming up to me while I'm in the car, but no one was really in the market for one. I was going to lower the price to $12.75k in hopes to sell it by year end. Frankly, I thought folks would jump at an SI with an unmodified engine and suspension.

$13.5k seems like a good asking price. I think like someone said you should remove the seats and such and ask a little less. They seem to be going for around $14k here with no mods, and a little less with mods. Especially at car lots. Private party SI's are around $13k. There are some good deals to be had though, we are picking up another EBP SI later today in perfect condition for $9k but with theft title. I got mine with clean title and only 16k miles for $11k almost a year ago.

Parting it out seems to be the concensus. I may have to do that then. Some dealers here have been selling it for 15k+ stock. If people are trading these in to them, they must be making a killing.
Thanks for the input.

I have a similar question. I have a 00 FBP Si. 45k mi. Honda Certified Used car warranty still on it till '07 on the powertrain and exactly 11 months on bumper to bumper. Car is mint and is absolutley dead stock. No wing. All in all I paid 14,238 for it after tax at the Honda Dealer. What do you think I can get for it? I'm entertaining the idea of selling it b/c i would like to get something a little cheaper. Just looking to make my money back. Think I can? I'm on Long Island also.
Edit: Just to add, when I went to the dealer they wanted 15,999 for it. I got them down to what I paid through a bet with the salesman b/c he didnt know his ****.
