try ebay or something. but why do you need it for? the best way to prevent cops is to drive the limit. that way its 100% garunteed you wont get pulled over. sometimes people driving with detectors think theres no cops watching them, so they speed. the thing is that sometimes cops dont turn on their radar's, so your screwed.

Hey, if you're driving the limit to avoid being pulled over, I've got something better for you - drive UNDER the limit. See, now you're being extra-extra cautious, cops will never pull you over. Sure, you'll get fired for always showing up at work late, your mother will be calling hospitals because you're so late for Thanksgiving dinner - but man, you'll never get pulled over.
Meh. I drive 8mph over the limit in good conditions. Ever since I started doing that I stopped getting pulled over. In rain I generally slow down a little further, in snow I might go the limit or under. See, I drive as conditions dictate.
Don't get me wrong - you're welcome to go 8mph slower than me, hey you can even go 20mph slower like the dumbasses I encounter on roads out here in Podunk. Just don't get pissy and accelerate when I try to pass you, okay? I don't want to spend the majority of my trip sitting at red lights, which is what happens when you drive at or under the limit.
E-gg's - An online auction, like eBay, is pretty much your only way not to pay MSRP on a V1. Valentines only sell direct, you would need to pick up a used one. One word of caution - if you pick up a stolen V1, and you send it in for repair, they will contact your local police department.
Also, FWIW, V1s are constantly getting upgrades in firmware & hardware. The V1 from 15 years ago isn't the same V1 you can buy today. Over the years they've added laser detection, increased logic to filter out false signals, switched to more sensitive hardware, changed the hardware/software to handle wideband K/Ka, etc. If you buy used, you don't know exactly which V1 you'll get.

Re: (TurboCoop)
Thx for the advice. I always drive the limited speed. But, just got a ticket because I was late for work. @_@
TurboCoop,
I am looking for ~300 and less. Let me know.

Re: (B and B)
It's interesting how back in the 80s everyone claimed to be better than Cincinnati Microwave. Then a while back everyone started claiming to be better than Valentine, including CM/Escort.
Wasn't Valentine started because engineers at CM got pissed off at the suits? The suits decided to cash in on their "name recognition" and stop putting out top-of-the-line products (ala Madden "Roster Update!" 200x). The engineers got fed up, left, waited for noncompete clauses to expire, and formed Valentine.
Personally, I could buy a Valentine with every insurance renewal and still pay less than before I got it. And at least I'd have a brand new Valentine every six months, instead of just a more-expensive-but-just-as-worthless piece of paper.
Anyhoo, just some points to ponder...
