VAFC help!!!
I just installed my VAFC in my civic with a GSR swap. I have a chipped p28 by the way. My problem is that the vtec doesn't sound the same. The VAFC says that its on, but the sound isn't very deep like it was. Any idea of why this is? It makes me think that the vtec isn't doing anything.

Re: VAFC help!!!
I've been told that the VAFC may be bad because I bought it used. Now I have to buy a new one, and the worst part is that I have no vtec until I get one because the wires are sodered in. Watch out for used VAFC's. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif

Re: VAFC help!!! (93gsrcoupe)
What makes you think the VAFC is bad?

If your running stock GSR with stock manifold then you need to ditch the P28 and go back to a p72. What chip do you have anyway, and is the VAFC all set to 0 and you didnt fuck with it?

Re: (Luserkid)
The VAFC is all set at 0, except for the vtec engagement which is set at 5600(where the chip sets it off at). The only thing set was the number of cylinders and the dierction of the throttle. I had a shop do this, and they wired it up correctly. When vtec hits, the screen reads "Vti on", but theres no vtec. What do you guys think?

Re: (93gsrcoupe)
Fixed it! Read some old posts and found that it was set on 6 cylinder and the sensors weren't set at 6 like they should be for an integra. Somehow, the settings were erased. Thanks H-T. https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif
