Default Vacuum Lines, EVAP Canister, Purge Solenoid

I have a B18B1 engine in my 93 Civic Hatch and every time i turn my car on, it smells like Gas...i noticed that 2 Charcoal Canister lines weren't connected at all...my Intake Manifold doesnt have a Purge Solenoid an was wonderig if i can connected the line that goes from canister to the purge solenoid direct to the manifold without the solenoid?? or do i need that solenoid???the only line i have connected right now is the one that says that goes to the EVAP two way valve...that hoes is connected to a hardline...is this line connected correctly??

You need the solenoid. Because there's vacuum in the manifold, when the ECU activates the solenoid, it draws the gas vapors out of the charcoal canister....which implies there are situations where it shouldn't be happening. If you don't have the solenoid, it'll constantly be pulling the vapors out of it.

I really don't know if there are differences between them. Hit up and an online (or the dealer) store to see if the part numbers match up.

I would think so. It doesn't get activated by magic.

is this the same intake manifold in b16a2? coz this is my story.. on the pic on this thread, the vaccum line #7 on mine is not connected anywhere. and the vaccum line from canister going to the near of map sensor of this pic . in mine from the canister up to the evap purge control solenoid.

can be seen in this thread!

No, a B18B does not have the same intake manifold.

wait, you need the nipple that goes on the TB by the map sensor right....all you have is the hole??try to take it off another TB and press it into yours..

This might be the setup for an OBD1 B18B1, but not an OBD2.
