Default Is it a vacuum leak or the IACV!!

Alright I've been having this problem for over a year and its driving me crazy! I have two IACVs and both do the same thing. One I bought with the car and the other is I bought at autozone awhile back. The car will idle at 1000 rpms sometimes and 1200rpms sometimes. Now whenever I'm at a red light or stand still in Neutral the rpms will be at 1200 for a few seconds and go to 1500 with a CEL. The rpms will stick at 1500rpm and driving is impossible. When I disconnected the IACV the rpms will go to 1000rpms. When I put my finger over the intake hole while the IACV is disconnected the engine still runs but at a very very low rpm. When the IACV is plug in and rpms are at 1500 and I cover the hole the engine runs the same as when the IACV is unplugged at a very very low rpm. Do I have a vacuum leak or is the IACV. Just need to know before I go out and buy a new IACV.

Also another quick questions is when I'm in 1st and I take my foot of the accelerator and when the cars rpms get to 1200 the car will jerk back and forwards a bit and continue to move. I was able to drive around a parking lot at 1200rpms without having my foot on the accelerator. Is that normal? I know that it a automatic does this but is it the same with manual?

Yea forgot the mention that its a p0505. And too add a little more when the RPMS stick, I will shut off the car for a second and turn it back on and I'm able to drive normally.

Check resistance of the ECT sensor and output voltages from the TPS at closed and wide open throttle.

That's a tool that belongs in every toolbox. Shop around and you will be able to pick up an adequate digital multimeter for $5 - $10.
