VACUUM LEAK****PLEASE HELP****

Default VACUUM LEAK****PLEASE HELP****

yeah i installed a throttle body that was bbored out by the new spaceballs here on HT and i sent him a GSR throttle body instead of my b16a one and he bored out the gsr TB now when i installed it im have idle problems.....( this is in NO WAY DOWNING THE MANS WORK HE DID A HELL F A JOB JUST WANNNA FIND OUT WHAT MY PROBLEM IS) i was spraying carb cleaner to cheack for vacuum leaks cuz my idle was at 3300 rpms........so i was spraying where the TB meets the manifold and the idle went down....so i figured it was the gasket i took it off added some hondabond and started it back up...it helped me alot im down to 1400 RPMS at idle and it sometimes goes down to the normal 900 rpms...........the questions i need answered is im thinkin i ordered the wrong gasket......i ordered a b16a throttle boy gasket for a gsr throttle body thats bored out going onto a ITR MANIFOLD......im 90% sure i ordered the wrong gasket.....is this why im having the vacuum problem....thanks in advance guys??????

ive sprayed carb cleaner everywhere on that diagram only spot iodle goes down when i spray it is when i spray it right on the gasket thats inbetween the throttle body and intake manifold.......everywhere else i didnt get any response....imma go to ACURA dealer and buy BOTH a GSR tb gasker and an ITR TB gasket hopefully that will solve my prohblem....thanks for the diagram

you need to buy a gasket for the TB you have not the manifold

thanks alot man..........imma give that a try but since im already gonna be at the acura dealer and gaskets are so cheap that imma prolly buy both the ITR and GSR gasket to make sure i fix the problem.....but thanks alot for your input......

also ive heard that using the H22 throttle body gasket will fit is that right??????

Its most likely your throttle body gasket. When I installed my ITR intake manifold I had a throttle body gasket for an ITR, and it was alot shorter then the B16. My car was idleing at 4000. I could run my finger along where the throttle body and intake manifold met and felt where the air was coming in from. I went out and got a gasket for a Del Sol and worked fine.

im a bit confused here.....which gasket are u tellin me to get....cuz i have a GSR throttle body thats bored outnot a b16a one.......but it is one a b16a motor......

haha, sorry, I was just tyring to show you sorta the same experience that I had. Basically, get a GSR throttle body gasket and you should be good.

who bored our ur tb? can u share his info? i need mine done. how much he charge. and how big did he bore? 64 mm?
