Default V-TEC Help

I recently installed a Weapon R Throttle Rotor and didn't like it so i took it off. Now my v-tec is really loud when it kicks in. And it seems to die down a little bit when kicked in. Is it the throttle cable or what? Should my throttle body cable be loose or tight?

usually, i see throttle cables having about .15 inches of slack. i may have over estimated that. basically, not too loose, but not tight at the same time
